I hear ya. I just wonder if it will be as expensive as the omnipod with the replacing every three months thing?

We will know more once the final trial happens in January 2010. They are saying now that the model will be similar to Omnipod's.

Suz my friend I ordered the solo yesterday. Exciting to see more options out there for us huh?

Always exciting! and you can refill the insulin in this at any time unlike the Ominpod. It will be interesting to see how their launch goes....

Hi Don, With Solo you would not lose the whole pump, only the adhesive part with the plastic "port" that Suzanne taps on with her fingernails. Once you replace that you can put the pump right back on. Or am I misunderstanding your point - do you anticipate it falling off and losing it?

Thanks for info. I use a cosmo now but since they're a done deal i'm tying to find another brand. this one looks alright but i have one concern. on occasion my infusion set will come right off me, either from sweating during sports or spending too much time in the ocean. it's no big deal because i just put another on. but with the solo i could potentially lose the entire pump.

Thanks for showing us the Solo!! I just got my demo this afternoon and I'm looking forward to trying it out. I also have an Omnipod demo that came a few weeks ago. I'm thinking I'll try them out at the same time so I can compare both of them and my Minimed.
