About Me

I am Suzanne Watts and I have been living with diabetes for over 20 years. I have struggled with diabetes and often lived in denial. I want people to know you can turn it around and take care of yourself, no matter how long it has been since you did.

hey, Suzanne. Thank you for videos about Ping.I have been on the Ping for a month. Still 'tweaking' it. Off the Lantus so no crashs in the AM. Glad for that.

Hi Suzanne, Hey thanks for the reply on Vegas sorry I didn't write you back work has been hectic lately, yet still keeping on with my wellness plan ;) Anyhow Vegas was a blast and I didn't have very hard of a time being the designated driver I just stuck too my guns as usual and I know what I can have and what I don't want too have no alchol is best for me and my friends respected that I had a good time anyways only went too one buffett I ate at my friends house where I stayed most of the time so all in all it was easy to stay foccused on meals and kept my sugars level! Traveling next month for a reunion I feel more confident than I have in the past about traveling thanks for listening smile

Suzanne I am so happy you wrote what you did because I am a newbie. I found this site on another and have had so many nice people contact me to teach me. I feel better already since first being diagnosed in July. Prior to that I felt lousy and wanted to sleep 24/7. Now with meds and a healthy diet and exercise I feel good most days and am awake. Thanks again.

Suzanne-
The post about "attitude" ... was that by you? I know a diabetic who sounds like this person. His sister is very concerned and his parents have always blamed everything that goes wrong on his Type 1. I've been Type 1 37 years and wrote a post a while back on TuD about "Positive Attitude". It makes ALL the difference in the world!

SUZANNE!!! How are you my friend ... I feel we have not talked in a while so I wanted to stop in and say "Hi". Also to update you that the pump and I are doing so well. If you look at my profile my A1C aim is 6.5 for my next check up.
But also I know you got on your Ping not long before me. So ho ecactly would it work to get the Solo for us? I got the demo kit to check it out. Will we have to wait 5 years to get it (if we like it)?
Beside that I am ready for school to start up on the 21 I move in. Also you and Bill are doing a great job with the site. Thanks for all your hard work : ).
Well I need to get to bed so I can make it to Ball tomorrow.

Michael ^_^

Hi Suzanne,
Thanks for the invite I too have live with Diabetes for 20 years, always working on taking better care of myself but its hard too stick to it all the time! I'm going to Las Vegas next week on vacation and it will be hard because my other nurse girlfriends like to party I don't because I know better! I hope they will understand! I'll just be the designated driver for the week! Alcohol and diabetes don't mix! Nurses know the ill effects but I'm sure I'll be asked if I want something too drink! Its a tough road sometimes. :i Nice too meet you, thanks again for the invite and for listening...
Shelley
