Diabetes Doesn't Define You

About Me

I am both a heart and kidney transplant patient.  My heart transplant was in 1993, due to viral myocarditis.  In 2004, I needed a kidney transplant due to an overdose of my anti-rejection medication.  Now thanks to both transplants I lead a pretty normal life; however, I have just started to take my diabetes seriously in the past year.  My doctors thought that the orginal cause of my diabetes was steroid induced, but now my doctors think that damage has been done to my pancrease.  I  recently started on an insulin pump and am very happy with the results so far.  I would appreciate any information, and tips anyone might have on insulin pump therapy.

Thanks,

-Aaron
