Thanks for your advice. I just started on the CGM yesterday, so I know that will help me control my BG during exercise. This is a learning experience every day.

Thanks for your comment. I know how challenging this disease can be; I bet it is even more so for a parent to have a child with type 1. I am just getting used to the pump, which I have only had for 2 weeks now. I was at the gym today and was on the treadmill and started feeling pretty dizzy. I stopped and checked my BG and it was 45! I ate 5 glugose tablets and started feeling better in a couple of minutes. I had set a temporary basal rate of half of my normal one, but that wasn't enough, so I have to figure this out somehow, because I like going to the gym! That was scary! I have felt off all day. Has your son ever experienced this? Thanks for any imput.

Great site, would like to help anyone with questions or support. Can't say I know what it is like to be diabetic but my son was diagnosed with type 1 two yrs ago at age 12.Also lost a childhood friend in 96,so i've been around it most of my life just here to help anyone if I can.Need to talk,have questions,life is good.
