I'm a graphic designer, massage therapist and the past two years a Jenny Craig Consultant, in that order. Graphic Designer for many years, now I just freelance at home. I used to do the massage therapy from my home weekends and some evenings until I got sick with pancreatitis which put me down for 2 years. When I recovered I started working for Jenny Craig which I love because I'm teaching people how to be healthy through diet and exercise. I'm a type I diabetic due to the pancreatitis and just started on the OmniPod this week still with water in it until I get it down, then start the insulin in two weeks. Thanks for creating this site. Oh, that's really cool! I'm trying to figure out my whole diet thing. The way we eat is so intricately woven into our diabetes care. Every single things that gets into my blood stream reacts differently and I have to figure it all out again.
I wish it was as simple as "30g carbs=5 units insulin" but it's not! Has Jenny Craig consultating helped you to understand diabetes any better?

Welcome and I can not tell you how happy I am you found this site. We are all here for one another and that will help to keep away the loneliness you talked about. Congrats on the OmniPod. I have the Ping. Going on the pump was like the best choice I have made in a long time. So yeah ... the site is always updating so come back often to check out all of Bill and Suzanne's work.
