Dude I brought the omni pod home for my son to try it was a test model just a demo.It has no wires, it has a remote.Well you stick the omni pod to your side or belly or back. Its not real big like the size of an egg but flat.Anyway after you stick it to yourself you hit the remote and it lances you and inserts the insuline tub at the same time. The remote you use to program the amount you give yourself, its a cool option but you still need to change every 3 days.My son is very active he had his torn off in 2 days. The company will give you a demo if you want to give it a try good luck.LIFE IS GOOD

Hey, Michael! Sorry it has taken me a few days to respond... I do not check this site often. Anyways, I am sorry to hear you are not going to Cabo this year... I did not go on a big vacation this year, There's always next year right?

Hope all is well in your life and diabetes is treating you well.

Keep up the good fight. I just completed a very challenging couple of days off at Six Flags in NJ going on a ton of rides that were not "pump safe."

Hi Michael, thank you for your comments, I'm sure we shall have another Steven Speilberg when you have completed your studies, best wishes for some great results. Yes, it is great to hop on a motorbike and feel the freedom on the open roads. Regards Robert

For us to get the Solo and have it covered by insurance we would most likely have to wait until our warranty is up. That being said, Medingo is using a pay as you pump model like Omnipod so you could pay out of pocket if you really wanted to try it. More than likely it will be around $2000 for the starter kit, like the Omnipod. I plan on paying out of pocket once it is available so I have a backup and choices. Keep in mind that the company has said they will not be offering it for sale for awhile longer. I have heard at best the system will be available in January. They are not ready to launch it just yet, they are getting all their tech support set up to meet any demand there may be.
