So I decided that with all I had going on that I needed to be more focused on school. Trust me people we all want our NP's to be great students and to actully study right? well I decided it was time to move into the dorms and can I just say my life diabetes and all has flipped and I am in a whirl wind of highs and lows and schedules, soccer, and not to mention fitting meals in!! I walk on campus we are not lucky enough to have a bus system and so I live on one side of campus and have classes 3/4 miles across campus and you can imagine what lows I am getting there!! then there is to dorm issue I have my own room which when I decided on my room this was great my own space for study time and to hide from creepy mcstalker pants you get my drift! but you can see the issue no mate to see issues. Now I do share a jack and jill bath with the girl next door and so she does have access if needed through the Bathroom but that helps me none if I am low at night or do not wake up because of a low. I have been diabetic forever or at least 23 yrs whichever is worse lol and I thought I had myself prepared and yet there is all of this that is still showing issues. Now yes I have the mini fridge for insulin and low snacks and whatever else fits around. I have told the RA's as well as the health clinic and yes all my professors know but I have yet to figure out a plan for say my weekend study sessions in my room (literally people I might emerge out of my cave for food or my required vit D out side for 5 mins) so if I go low on friday after my bathroom mate? (that sounds creepy) has left for the weekend of partying or seeing her family and she does not come back till monday? can we say screwed? ughh and lord help me with the test strip trail it follows me everywhere!! No need for CSI here! The good news is the chow hall is wonderful all of the nutrition for a food is on a card above it for my carb counting plesure!! there is one other diabetic on campus and he is new here too. the nurse is working hard at trying to learn all about pumps and I gave her my think like a pancreas book to read and pumping insulin so she could get the basics down but for now we are working with limited resources here. I am so stressed with all of that I am still cramming time for studying and soccer practice since games start next month. I have 6 classes so someone please help!!

P.S this is why I have been away with all my applications to schools and getting admitted and then preparing and soccer tryouts yep been awhile but I need my fellow diabetics.
