Hey guys, I'm a 2 and a half yr diabetic, 16 y/o and am taking up the bass guitar. I have played a little before I was diagnosed and I obviously had calices from the hard strings. now that im picking it up again, and my fingertips are now pretty beat up. (I rotate all 10 of my fingers but they still are all pretty bad) is there any advice as to what I should do? Thanks! Mike from Boston 7.4 A1C, pump for 2 years

Sorry for the late reply. Callus takes a while to go away. I would actually ask a dermitologist and see what he/she says. Off the top of my head, I would say, try soaking your fingertips in palmalive for a while, and see if it improves within a weak. The second, you may want to try a deep moisturizing cream. or maybe even a tiny bit of vasiline on the fingertips, to penetrate the dead skin.
