I'm so happy I got switched from my syringes to an insulin pen! Its so easy and so much better than my old syringes! I was having trouble with high numbers so I got put on a different insulin that lasts 24 hours its called lantus. Just one shot a day! If I do happen to still run high I will have to use my syringe along with it but its been doing a great job helping,me control my numbers! So I went from three shots a day to basically one! Yea! I'm so pleased so far with my results! Also it doesn't peak like my other insulin which is nice! I couldn't believe how easy the pen is to use! Also you can't even feel it! I just wanted to share with everyone my story and let everyone know what's going on with me! So lately my numbers have been great! Finally! I'm so glad because I was so high for so long and now that's changed! This really seems to be working well for me! I'm glad I finally found something that works! Have a great day and thanks for listening!

Thats great too  I was switched from syringes to Lantus and pen needles about six months ago! I love the pen needles no more bending the needles, or pricking my fingers when i put the cover back on, checking bc was enough,i  had to do two injections evry time cuz the syringes didnt hold my doses lantus does and i can use the pen needles with my humalog too

OMG the switch from syringes to pens took me 4 years.  That switch for me was a gamer changer for the better.  It has been one of the reasons I "try" new technologies as they come out because I just can't wait that long for improvement anymore.

Congrats to you!

I like using the pens, its so much easier. I would go crazy if i had to use syringes. I was so srared the first time. I called the company and had them tell me step by step of how to give my self the injectection.

My A1c have gone down since August it was 7.0 and now it is 6.3.... :D

I love my pens!  I use a humalog pen and a lantus Pen.

One tip i'd give for the pens--  Don't keep them in your pocket.  I used to keep my Humalog pen in my pocket for convenience, but I found that my pens would expire really quick. .  Your pockets are way to warm.  For insulin to last 30 days it needs to be at room temperature or cooler.
