Okay so having been a pumper for 7 years Ive used my arms quite extensively for the duration of that time. I am beginning to see that the insulin is not absorbing as well. I have changed to my abdomen. The reason I stopped using my abdomen in the first place was because I got a lot of unexplained lows.

Bad part is, in the morning, I always feel bad (I dont like waking up,and am not a morning person what so ever) so when I am low in the morning, I dont even feel it. A few mornings ago, I tested and I was 47. It didnt even phase me. I re-tested and boom! 47 again. I drove home the other night with a 49 (over bolused for lunch I think)......Heck, on 6/24 I gave a whopping 4U of bolus insulin FOR THE WHOLE DAY!!! I had like 100g of carbs the whole day between snacks and meals, and the highest I got was 133! I was hypo 4 times that day! Its just some craziness going on there. Any thoughts on this? I dropped my basal rates by .10U across the board, and its helped some.

Overall, low BG doesnt wipe me out like it does some people, but I dont like it anymore than the next person. Thanks for any help and suggestions.

It will take some time to get your tweeking of the basal rates just right it is all about patiences my friend. it stinks but so worth it in the end. you will find what works and does not work for you just work closely with your D team and all will work in due time.
