Question: Okay I jumped over to TuDiabetes forums for a bit at work to see what user opinions for the various CGMS systems were like. I noticed something peculiar. Over there its like "Dexcom rules dexcom rules dexcom rules dexcom rules Navigator's cool MM SUX Dexcom rules dexcom rules dexcom rules etc....." I honestly didnt have too much of a say with respect to getting my MM system (Was all lumped together with pump) so I guess I will make the best of it. I do notice people that try to say they have good or decent results with other systems besides dexcoms get slammed some. Whats with the partisan answers there? Just curious.......

MM sucks, in my having the Paradigm 723, as  I looked to see what it is, weak signal shows up, even though my pump is right next to the sensor?  WACKED:( PIECE of YIT!

Problem is, just like pumps... which pump is best... answer the "one I have is great"

Dexcom had better results with accuracy I felt reviewing the clinical data. But none are perfect. I am not sure what the accuracy is of MM new cgm however..

I have used an MM CGM for the last 7 months, and it fairly consistently reads 20-30 mg/dl lower than my meter does in the low to normal range, and the same amount higher in the high range. Since I KNOW that, I mentally compensate, and find the data useful. And I have read of studies that say the MM is more accurate, but I don't really know for sure. I can hardly wait for the new Enlite sensor, which is supposed to be more accurate, and approved for 6 days instead of 3, and knowing us non-compliant diabetics, we'll probably use it for 12!

I have had my CGM (MM) for about a month.  I am still trying to understand the point of it since rarely does it match my meter reading.  Several times it "predicted a low" and signaled that I was at 80.  Took my blood test and I was actually at 58. Earlier this week the CGM read me at 200 but I was actually at 140.  Not sure if I am doing something wrong.

One thing to remember is that CGMs BG readings have a lag.  15 minutes or more, from what your actual BG would be.  Hence why possibly your CGMS read 80, when you were actually lower

From my understanding of the CGM which I use with the 723. it is a trend tool noty something that you would use to bolus with. All tho I have used it to bolus with when I am out with out my Meter. Alot of the CGM readings depends on your body mass. In my case i have very little body mass, so my readings will debend if i get the CGM inserted at the right angle to get it in the tissue it needs to be in to read the fluid. Mine finger stick and CGM readings are with in 30 points and they get closer the longer I wear it and the more stable my BG is. I love the 723 and the CGM I have droped my BG from over 500 to under 180 and lower at times It is starting to level out now at around 130. which is a very big milestone for me. ( by the way I am A type I ) and I have even gaind a few pounds pushing 151 lbs may not seam like much to some but i have never weighed more than 135 as far back as i can remember.
