So, I am a nurse and I work nights at a hospital. I usually have no problems coming home after work and crashing. However, these past few weeks I will maybe sleep 2 hrs and I'll be up. I've now been up for 48hrs with NO SLEEP! I lay down and just toss and turn. My BGs havent been in the normal range in about 8days now. I'm frustrated and tired and I just am not sure what to do?!?! Is this normal!?!? My doctor says insomnia is common for a T1D!! Any suggestions!?!?!?

When my BG is high I do the same thing! I thought it was just me. Well thats a bit of a relief. Once you get the sugars in line, the problem (im willing to bet) will correct itself. Did your doc recommend anything?
