I always hear people talking about high blood sugars and being sick as well as high BG and stress.. These factors have never affected my BG. I have had a 104 temp and perfect BG. Is there anyone else who has similair affects?

Kenny, Funny you should right this... I am sick right now. Nothing major but I have had a cold for a few days. Stuffy nose, headache, etc... it drives my BGs up about 20% or so. I have been struggling to keep my numbers below 170 where they would be about 120-130. I have been using a temp rate of 120% and watching my number close with my dexcom and BG tests but still I find myself bolusing like crazy to keep my numbers from raising all day.
When I get this "type" of sick my numbers rise. But if I have a fever or belly ache they usually don't. For me it depends on what type of sick I am.
Happens to me about 2-3 times a year I have to deal with it. It stinks because not only am I not feeling well, but then you add then diabetic high symptoms and frustrations of rising BG all day... Blah, I hope I feel better soon.

Whenever I am sick, ill, infected, or negatively stressed it raises my blood sugars. I don't think your weird or anything i just think that we are all different individuals with a common chronic disease.

Being sick really messes with my BG usually high but if I am throwing up then I deal with lows. stress not so much a prob anymore I guess after working on the ambulance and firetruck for the last 8 and 1/2 yrs my body does better with stress.
