I wrote a post in tudiabetes.com asking the question have you forgotten about your own problems to help someone else in their time of need? I wrote a story of how I had done that with a friend of mine who had passed out on a white water rafting trip. I want to know what it is that you guys have done whether it be taking groceries out to someone's car or taken a neighbors dog out for a walk. it doesn't have to be huge, but hey it would be interesting what kinds of selfless acts we do.

Not exactly an answer to your question but similair. When I was diagnosed at age 16, my mother pretty much did everything diabetes related. Weather it be calling the doctor at 2am or ordering supplies, whatever. The first year I was diagnosed she stoped taking care of herself, she put on a lot of weight would always forget to order her medications. But I guess because she was so busy with me, she just forgot about herself. She has long since been back on track..
