Hello, my name is Bill Woods and I've been a type 1 diabetic for over 20 years, diagnosed at the age of eight years old.  I was a three sport athlete in High School and in college I played division II football at Bentley University.

 I made my first video on living with diabetes in 2007.  My videos on Diabetes have reached over 200,000 views!  I am encouraged everyday by your comments and having an opportunity to share my voice.

   I believe I have a wealth of information to share about this disease personally.  I will always give my best and honest advice on ways to lift the burden of diabetes to live a happy and productive life.

   I don't think I took the easy diabetes path, you know the one with amazing accuracy counting carbs, unsurpassed timing on injections, and finger sticks.  But I've learned from my mistakes and would like to share the gems I found along the way.  "You can be a 1HappyDiabetic too, it's all about your attitude!"

1HappyDiabetic.com is for you to find a friend who has diabetes and hopefully share comments, concerns, and questions about living with diabetes.  Here is that place!  With you help we can learn and grow.

I am Suzanne Watts and I have been living with diabetes for over 20 years. I have struggled with diabetes and often lived in denial. I want people to know you can turn it around and take care of yourself, no matter how long it has been since you did.

From the experiences I have had I want others to realize that there is no such thing as a “perfect diabetic.”  We are all human and therefore sometimes we fail.  My background is in customer relations and mental health so I bring a different perspective to the table.  I promise to offer honest ideas and tricks that can help you feel less alone and burdened by your diabetes. 

Living with a chronic disease is tough and that is why it is so important to reach out to others who also live with this disease.  Hence the reason for social networking sites like http://1happydiabetic.com/.  You are not alone!  Like Bill I have struggled at times and found my way to live a happy diabetes life.  You too can be a 1HappyDiabetic!
